About Carrie Haskins

“From the time I was small,

I’ve always listened to and been inspired

by country music”. Her style is rooted in an

honest blend of American Country and Pop. With her palette of influences striving from Brad Paisley to Tammy Wynette, she emits a beautiful and emotionally real sound that wins over many listeners.

In 2011, she reached the battle stages of RTE's 'The Voice of Ireland', and unfortunately lost out due to stylistic differences. She has been studying music for the past few years, firstly in the Ballyfermot College of Further Education, and now in BIMM Dublin where she is a part of the College's House Band. She is currently co-writing with many songwriters from Nashville and recently had a song that she has co-written played in Tennessee on WJJM Radio.

2014 is set to be a great year for Carrie and her backing band. She is set to release her debut EP, ‘Country Spirit’ on May 2nd which will be available on Band Camp. She will be launching her EP in the Bewleys Theatre, Dublin on the same night with her brand of heartfelt songs, and some rocking numbers to get everyone onboard.

Carries EP can be described as a Mix of upbeat and slower relaxed ballads. Lush instrumentation intertwined with rich vocal lines and harmonies make for a captivating and rapturing listen. From the opening country spirit to the closing revenge, it’s clear from start to end that you, the listener are on a journey of highs and lows, lyrically melodically and instrumentally.
