About Nick Nichols
I am professional Musician, Entertainer, and seeking to be professional Songwriter who has been Performing and Ministering professionally, and most importantly, writing for about 25 years now, still looking for my first big break as a Writer/Artist in the music business. I have opened with my band, Southern Crescent for such major acts as T.G Sheppard, Gene Watson, and O.B. McClinton, Dixiana, and The Masters 5. I started writing while attending Clemson University, and have had numerous songs pitched to such artists as Alan Jackson, Trace Adkins, George Strait, Wynona Judd, Travis Tritt, Ronnie Milsap, Tricia Yearwood, Jamie O’Neal, Lee Greenwood, and Clay Walker, not to mention the ones I don’t even know about. Had a ton of songs put on hold, but I’m still looking to get that first one “licensed”! I did just get my first cut on Indie Artist, Brandy William’s new CD; a song entitled “Out of My Lonely Mind”. My style of writing includes Country, Pop, Positive and Contemporary Christian, some R & B along with Jazz, as well as Christmas songs. I’ve performed in numerous Writers’ Venues such as The Bluebird Café, Douglas Corner, the Indigo Lounge and the Vanderbilt Commodore Lounge in Nashville, along with countless other coffee houses and packed arenas. Now I spend most of my time performing at business functions for fortune 500 companies, Private Weddings and parties, and sharing my faith in churches through song ministry and continuing to showcase my songs in Nashville’s most well known Writer’s Night venues. I play both guitar and keyboard and have been lead singer and Keyboard player for the Southern Crescent Band (www.southerncrescentband.com) since 1981. I consider my greatest influences to be My Dad, James H. Nichols, Dan Seals, Michael W. Smith, Rodney Crowell and James Taylor.
